This is a rare and original vintage Mid-Century extending dining table designed in the Danish Modern style. No label is present but the design would indicate it to be by Tom Robertson for the highly respected furniture maker A.H. McIntosh of Kirkcaldy, Scotland.
The table comfortably seats four (4). It can be extended via a hidden brass folding leaf mechanisms to seat six (6).
The table is made out of solid Afromosia teak and has been sensitively restorer whilst leaving some signs of age to maintain its vintage appeal.
The table features highly desirable tapered legs. One leg shows signs of ware from a teething puppy at some point in its history. I can only hope it helped relieve the pups sore gums quickly! ‘This is not very noticeable and is shown in the images provides.
Elegant yet strong. It will look stunning in a vintage or contemporary setting.
Width 167cm with fold out extension
