I currently have two authentic Mid Century child size chairs in stock. This chair was designed in 1957 by Lucian Ercolani during the post-war Modernist era of design. The design was originally conceived as a solution for schools needing to stack large numbers of chairs without the stacks becoming unstable. His brilliant solution became very popular at the time and they were used widely for children across the U.K. in the 50s and 60s however so many have now been replaced by the plastic chairs we see in schools today. A few examples have survived after being saved by people with an appreciative eye for good design. This being one such pair.
They are structurally sound with a dark vintage patina. If you would prefer these fully restored with a lighter wood finish then please get in touch for a quote.
Price is for one chair and includes free delivery within mainland UK. Please get in touch for delivery quotes to other locations.
If you have any questions whatsoever please do not hesitate to contact me via the contact page. My name is Cate, I am an independent furniture restorer and I’m always happy to help if I can.
